MathPQC 2026(Mathematics for Post-Quantum Cryptography)

Event summary

Post-quantum schemes rely on several families of computationally hard problems, including lattice problems (e.g. the shortest vector problem on Euclidean and ideal lattices, and the lattice isomorphism problem on Euclidean and module lattices), finding isogenies between supersingular elliptic curves (and superspecial abelian varieties) over finite fields, decoding problems for linear codes, and solving systems of multivariate quadratic (MQ) equations over finite fields. These problems draw on a broad range of mathematical disciplines, including number theory, algebra, the geometry of numbers, algebraic geometry, and many others. In light of these connections, this affiliated event aims to bring together mathematicians working in these fields and cryptographers interested in the mathematical foundations of post-quantum cryptography. The event will provide an opportunity to exchange ideas across disciplines, highlight recent developments, and foster new interactions between the mathematics and cryptography communities.

Call for contributed talks

We welcome contributed talks on the topic of mathematics for post-quantum cryptography. Interested participants should submit the following information:

• Affiliation
• Career stage
• Talk title
• Abstract

Contributed talks will be 15 minutes in length, consisting of a 12-minute presentation followed by 3 minutes for questions.

Depending on the number of submissions received, we may also organize a poster session. We therefore ask applicants to indicate in their submission whether they would be willing to present a poster if their proposal cannot be accommodated as a contributed talk.

The deadline for contributed talk submissions is November 1, AoE (Anywhere on Earth). The notification date is November 6.
