MathPQC 2026(Mathematics for Post-Quantum Cryptography)
MathPQC 2026 is a one-day affiliated workshop of ASIACRYPT 2026.

Event summary
Post-quantum schemes rely on several families of computationally hard problems, including lattice problems (e.g. the shortest vector problem on Euclidean and ideal lattices, and the lattice isomorphism problem on Euclidean and module lattices), finding isogenies between supersingular elliptic curves (and superspecial abelian varieties) over finite fields, decoding problems for linear codes, and solving systems of multivariate quadratic (MQ) equations over finite fields. These problems draw on a broad range of mathematical disciplines, including number theory, algebra, the geometry of numbers, algebraic geometry, and many others. In light of these connections, this affiliated event aims to bring together mathematicians working in these fields and cryptographers interested in the mathematical foundations of post-quantum cryptography. The event will provide an opportunity to exchange ideas across disciplines, highlight recent developments, and foster new interactions between the mathematics and cryptography communities.

Registration is now open through ASIACRYPT 2026. To attend MathPQC, please register for the affiliated events. You may attend the affiliated events only, without registering for the main conference.

For ASIACRYPT attendees, the fees above are in addition to the main conference registration fee. The early registration deadline is November 6, 2026.
The affiliated-events-only fee covers all affiliated-event technical programs, tea breaks and lunch on Monday, December 7, plus the ASIACRYPT welcome reception that evening at a separate venue. It does not include the main conference, accommodation, or IACR membership.
IACR financial support for student presenters does not cover presenters at affiliated events. For full registration details and policies, please see the official ASIACRYPT 2026 registration page. The talk submission form below is separate from event registration.
Call for contributed talks
We welcome contributed talks on the topic of mathematics for post-quantum cryptography. Interested participants should submit the following information:
- Name
- Affiliation
- Career stage
- Talk title
- Abstract
Contributed talks will be 15 minutes in length, consisting of a 12-minute presentation followed by 3 minutes for questions.
Depending on the number of submissions received, we may also organize a poster session. We therefore ask applicants to indicate in their submission whether they would be willing to present a poster if their proposal cannot be accommodated as a contributed talk.
The deadline for contributed talk submissions is November 1, AoE (Anywhere on Earth). The notification date is November 6.
